My name is Ewa Gozdzik-Lawlor. I am Polish but my expat life took me from Poland, through Austria, Italy, Morocco, Egypt, Brazil, Japan to Dubai. In my previous life, I was a marketing executive. In my current life, I am a furniture artist. I believe there is always an opportunity to change, learn and improve. I apply the same belief to the furniture I up-cycle: I give them a second life. I love creating pieces that make people happy and, at the same time, which contribute to preserving our planet. Sustainability, affordability, and uniqueness – values behind the brand I created: relovedfurniture.dxb. I use many different techniques while upcycling my pieces: I paint, apply stencil, decoupage, play with the texture, cane webbing and even, make some structural changes to the pieces I transform. My name is Dr. Eman, a public health professional managing the employee wellness and occupational health program at Dubai Airports. Being a mother of four children, with a full time job, quality time was a forever challenge . Although art was always my passion, the fast paced cycle of life stole me away year by year and I never had a chance to explore the world of meditation through art. Only when I attended a furniture up-cycling workshop , my love and passion of art with the admiration of wood and furniture was revived, enjoy with me the outstanding happiness and self-satisfaction in up-cycling an old piece of furniture , giving it a new lease of life to be enjoyed for many more years to come. Zarmina Interiors

Zarmina is a chalk paint artist based in Dubai. Her passion for artistically made furniture has been infused in her blood for generations. She has the legacy of Hayat furnitures who supplied beautifully crafted furniture to the Royals and nobility of India, Iran, Afghanistan and Europe. Zarmina has a flair for interiors and channels her creativity in painting and up cycling furniture to produce pieces of art. She uses Annie Sloan chalk paint and has been recognised by the Queen of chalk paint herself on many of her one of a kind pieces. She has a fondness for Patina and antique designs as well as working with modern styles with a beautiful touch. I have been an avid painter since I was 6 years old. So, I moved on from painting canvases to painting old furniture and upcycle them. I have been an avid painter since I was 6 years old. So, I moved on from painting canvases to painting old furniture and upcycle them. I singlehandedly put together this idea and set up a furniture upcycling facility 4 years ago and built a client base who have appreciated the work that I have done and I am grateful that they keep coming back to me to up cycle their old furniture. While I was scaling up the business & taking the passion one step ahead, I also decided to give it back to the society. So, over the last year, I have been taking individual and group classes/workshops on painting furniture. It is gratifying that I can pass on my experience to other people so they can make their homes different and more beautiful. I strongly believe that learning is imperative to one's existence and my ventures have been proof enough of my skills and my undying spirit to learn, perform, and evolve. SHOP NOW
